Six championship titles were awarded on the first day of track nationals. Lauriane Genest of Quebec and Tegan Cochrane of British Columbia took the women’s title in the team sprint. The team of Quebecers Hugo Barrette, Patrice St Louis Pivin and Joel Archambault won the men’s team sprint title. Allison Beveridge, Laura Brown, Katherine Maine and Annie Foreman-Mackey won the women’s team pursuit. Bailey Simpson, Evan Burtnik, Derek Gee and Adam Jamieson won the men’s team pursuit title. Lauriane Genest won the women’s 500 m time trial and Adam Attwell won the elite men’s 1,000 m time trial.
