At the second race of the season at Les Mardis cyclistes de Lachine (MCL) on Tuesday evening in Montreal Clément Ouimet, who lost his life when he was struck by a car while training on Mont-Royal last September, will be honoured. The “Salut Clément” leader’s jerseys for the best junior male and female will be awarded with Ouimet’s family, friends and the Montreal cycling community on hand to remember the deceased competitive cyclist.

“It’s tomorrow, on the occasion of the second race of the season, that the first leaders of the categories will be awarded. Since Clément raced at the MCL and because he was part of our beautiful and large community, it is natural and above all very important for us to pay tribute to him,” said the president of the MCL Jean-François Néron. “That’s why the leaders in the junior category will sort of ride with him.”
