According to Australian WorldTour squad Orica-GreenEdge’s website, Canadian duo Christian Meier and Svein Tuft will continue on for the next two seasons with the team.

Both riders are considered to be tireless, selfless workers, with Tuft an integral part of Orica’s team time trial lineup. The TTT gang just missed out on the medals at the 2015 UCI Road World Cycling Championships in Richmond, Virginia in late September.

Meier, 30-years old, and Tuft, 38, have both been with the team since 2012. A highlight for Meier since that time was taking the climber’s jersey of the 2014 Bayern Rundfahrt, while Tuft wore the pink leader’s jersey for a day in the 2014 Giro d’Italia.

For 2016 Orica has brought in another sprinting threat in Slovenian Luka Mezgec from Giant-Alpecin and Spanish attacker Amets Txurruka, who was awarded the overall combativity prize in the 2007 Tour de France.

Meier’s next race will be Sunday’s WorldTour finale, the Giro di Lombardia.
