To round out our NAHBS 2016 coverage, let’s focus on two smaller builders and then get to six of this year’s big award winners. Those two builders are Andrew Low and Lov Bikes. The former has a new road bike, while the other has hand-painted, fillet-brazed beauty. Check the gallery above.

The award winners, which you can also see in the gallery, include:

  • Argonaut Cycles for best layup
  • Calfee for best Campagnolo bike in show
  • Alchemy for people’s choice
  • Rob English best road bike
  • Mark DiNucci for best lugged bicycle
  • Caletti Cycles for best finish

So that’s it for NAHBS. It has been an inspiring trip filled with people who are passionate about building bikes for all the right reasons. We will see you next year in Salt Lake City, Utah, for NAHBS 2017.

Michael Yakubowicz is the founder of Toronto’s Blacksmith Cycle bike shop, as well as CEO of Stage-Race Distribution. He is in Sacramento for NAHBS to meet with Blacksmith’s custom bicycle fabricators and to check out other cool stuff at the show.
