The Norco Factory Team, a standard-bearer of the crosscountry scene, is returning for the 2016 season, Norco Bicycles officially announced.

This season, the team will welcome back five XC specialists looking to take their breakout successes to the next level: Andre L’Esperance, Evan Guthrie, Evan McNeely, Peter Disera and Haley Smith. With the momentum of 2015 behind them, the squad is well-positioned going into this year, building on a series decisive, prestigious finishes. Last season, two national championship titles, an overall dominance of the Canada Cup Series and the B.C. Test of Metal were among the feathers under the Norco Factory Team’s collective helmet. In addition, Norco riders appeared on the podium at the Pan American championships, and added several Canada Cup and Ontario Cup wins to 2015’s list of achievements.

For those returning riders, no doubt, another season of racing in such talented, trail-shredding, elite company is a matter of obvious excitement.

Peter Disera, one of those returning riders, is confident about the season ahead. “I’m super excited to be a part of the Norco Factory Team again this year,” isera said. “Between our great support, awesome team and abundant talent—in our looks and bike riding—I look forward to the successes we will share in 2016.” His U23 Canadian championship counterpart in the women’s division, Haley Smith, is also looking forward to another season riding in Norco colours.

“I’m so excited to be rejoining the Norco Factory family for 2016,” Smith said. “The bikes, people and atmosphere are amazing. Looking forward to another successful and adventurous year with my boys!”

That adventurous year officially gets underway for Norco Factory Racing on March 5, when the team competes in the Canada Cup season opener in Victoria.
