For the 2018 season, Hamilton-based outfit NCCH Elite Team p/b MGCC will be sporting kit by Pearl Izumi.

“This partnership will outfit all of our teams, from youth through to elite,” says NCCH president Ward Black. “It made perfect sense, where possible, to align sponsors from NCCH [National Cycling Centre Hamilton] and MGCC [Morning Glory Cycling Club] as both organizations are represented by the trade team: NCCH Elite p/b MGCC.”

“As an alumnus of the NCCH program from 2004–2006 and after working with the Morning Glory Cycling Club the past four seasons and with the support of Shimano Canada Limited, I am excited that together we are able to give back,” says Charlie Bryer, Shimano sales representative .

NCCH is responsible for identifying, recruiting, testing, coaching and training high-performance and development athletes in Ontario. The Centre is formally partnered with the Cycling Canada, the Ontario Cycling Association, the City of Hamilton and McMaster University. Since the centre’s creation in 2005, it has helped more than 75 athletes win medals at the national championships.

Pearl Izumi and Shimano Canada are based in Peterborough, Ont. The organizations support other teams in Canada, such as H&R Block Pro Cycling, projects such as the cycling routes in Peterborough and the Kawarthas.

“We look forward to unveiling the new kit later this year,” Black says.
