When pro cyclists and Australian wildlife come together

Annual tradition at the Tour Down Under continues with furry creatures and critters

Just three days until the start of the WorldTour season and the men’s elite peloton has gathered in Adelaide Australia for the 20th edition of the Tour Down Under. With former winners like Richie Porte, Simon Gerrans, Rohan Dennis, Tom-Jelte Slagter, Cameron Meyer and André Greipel on the start line it’s sure to be a cracking edition of the race. The now traditional Willunga Hill finish where Porte has won on four occasions will likely decide the general classification. It’s the first time to see many of the pelotons new riders and established champions get back into racing under sunny skies after the offseason.

A familiar element of the race are the pros and team staff getting the chance to interact with native Australian wildlife on the day of the team presentation which took place on Saturday.
