Teammates Pogačar and Majka play rock, paper, scissors for Tour of Slovenia stage victory

Paper beats rock

This week’s Tour of Slovenia has been dominated by UAE-Emirates’ Tadej Pogačar and Rafal Majka, with the duo finishing both one-two on Friday and occupying the top two spots on GC. But on Saturday’s concluding stage, the two, having climbed away from the others on Velika Planina, played a game of rock, paper, scissors to who took the day’s flowers.

Majka chose paper, the double Tour de France winner and Tour of Slovenian race leader chose rock and the Pole claimed the prize.

Paper covers rock.

With a stage remaining, Pogačar leads Majka by three seconds and the next rider is nearly two minutes back. Majka also won Stage 1.
