Tour de l’Abitibi Stage 2: Oliver Scott wins
French rider Ellande Larronde leads, Canadians Ben Morin in blue, Carl Truffer in orange

New Zealander Oliver Scott, currently racing with the American team NorthStar Development Cycling, clinched victory in the second stage of the Tour de l’Abitibi. Jack Diemar of the United States national team followed closely, securing second place on the podium. Canadian Jayden McMullen took the bronze medal.
The race unfolded at a brisk pace, averaging 46.7 km/h.
In the general classification, Ellande Larronde retained the brown jersey for the second consecutive day. Ben Morin of PNW Racing and Carl Truffer from the Canadian team also maintained their respective blue and orange jerseys. The polka dot jersey is now worn by French rider Lohann Vulliez.
Stage 3, and Stage 4, will take place on Thursday, July 18, featuring two half-stages. Stage 3 will be an individual time trial starting at 9:00 AM at the Cité de l’or in Val-d’Or. Riders will cover a 10 km circuit around the Rotary Tower of Val-d’Or. Stage 4 will commence in front of Belvédère Park in Malartic, with riders completing a round trip to Cadillac, totaling 57.5 km.
