Watch: Danny MacAskill road trips Germany with Martin Söderström
A Scot and a Swede hang-out, do some tricks and drive around Germany
The ever impressive Danny MacAskill teamed up with his friend Martin Söderström and Continental tires for his latest stunt filled video. The pair hopped into a Volkswagen Westfalia camper and road tripped Germany. Along the way, they stopped to shoot some good old two-wheeled fun.
Some of the notable tricks included riding down a flight of stairs backwards, a reverse nose manual which took a couple of shots to get just right and a flare on a very old wall which Söderström could just not quite get right. There’s also some classic MacAskill urban stunts. The pair even hit a classic skate park.
Along the way they also make a stop at Continental’s test track where they put the pedal to the metal before heading on their way. The video gives some interesting insight in what it takes to set-up and shoot a good trick. While when it’s all edited together the result is extraordinary, seeing them work through the process and even fail is interesting.
