Four riders cover 600 km in the depths of an northern Ontario winter

James Bay Descent

In February, 2019, in the dead of winter, four riders set out to ride 600 km from Attawapiskat First Nation south to Smooth Rock Falls, Ont.

Buck Miller, Ryan Atkins, Ted King and Eric Batty formed the James Bay Descent crew. They teamed up to take on the out-sized expedition through northern Ontario. More than just riding, the crew raised funds for the Timmins Native Friendship Centre, and visited schools and communities along the route.
