Yaletown Grand Prix cancelled

Three days before eighth annual B.C. event, organizers call it off

The owners of the Yaletown Grand Prix announced Thursday morning that the eighth running of the race won’t be taking place Sunday as planned. One of the people who was helping to promote the race said “the reasoning is due to lack of riders signed up to participate in the events.” First held in 2004, the Yaletown Grand Prix had been a popular race for riders and spectators. Nothing about the cancellation has been posted yet on the event’s website or Facebook page.
