The dates of the Youth Cup Finale of the Tourism London Youth Cup Grand Prix and the Ontario Criterium Championships have been announced, according to representatives from the Ontario Cycling Association, Forest City Velodrome Association, and Tourism London. This year, the races will be conducted at the Sovereign Road Crit course in London, Ont., on September 12 and September 13.

With the involvement of Tourism London — a partnership that fully materialized three years ago — this year’s event, one volunteer says, promises to be a special one.

“We have the organization willing to make these two great events happen,” said Scott Matthews, a Forest City Velodrome volunteer. “Tourism London stepped up for the Ontario Criterium Championships on the Sunday and they will provide the city of London marketing and promotion.”

“The sovereign road course is wide with very smooth pavement,” Matthews added. “The speeds will be very high as very little speed is scrubbed off in the corners.” Information about both courses can be found by checking out the tech guide for the Tourism London Youth Grand Prix on September 12th, and the Ontario Criterium Championships on September 13th.

“The organizing committee welcomes all Ontario cyclists to London on championship weekend,” Matthews added.
