The Norco Threshold C Force 1 got a sharp new paint job for 2018. While the exterior was the most evident update, the geometry and build are also top-notch offering a cyclocross crushing package that will be useful on adventure rides, trails, gravel and perhaps even some winter cycling adventures. The latest from Norco is in for testing and here is a first look at the eye catching machine from the west coast based Canadian company.

Mounted on the navy blue Norco Threshhold carbon frame set with sky blue and orange highlights is the reliable SRAM Force 1 groupset. The 1x setup provides a range of gearing options for cross races and adventure rides. The SRAM Force 1 hydraulic disc brake levers are unchanged now for a couple of years but provide solid grips on bumpy terrain. There is a lot to hold onto here. With only a derailleur shifter on the right lever there is also simplicity to the setup.

The bike has Easton EA90 SL wheels mounted with 33 mm tubeless ready tires. A solid wheelset that is race ready and strong for any style of riding.

While the Threshold is designed to excel in cyclocross with geometry to handle slippery mud and tight corners, the frame is sversatile to handle more than just racing.

The carbon frame and fork ensures the bike is light for shouldering on run ups. With front and rear 12 mm thru-axles the Threshold is stiff and has precise control in rough terrain. Flat mount disc brakes are well on their way to becoming standard providing simple and clean brake mounting. Front and rear there are 140 mm rotors which provide plenty of stopping power on cyclocross courses in any conditions.
