Shimano roll out affordable RS370, RS300 and RS100 wheelsets

Cyclists looking for budget-friendly wheels have new options to choose from as Shimano have unveiled three new road wheelsets. The RS370 is a mixed terrain disc wheelset with tubeless ready rims optimized for 28 to 38 mm tires. The RS300 is a clincher wheelset with a low spoke count while the RS100 are Shimano’s most affordable 11 speed wheelset. Each incorporates some of the technologies from Shimano’s range-topping offerings at the price point that make them affordable for a training or spare set of wheels.

With adventure riding ever more popular the RS370 is a multi-purpose wheelset designed for riding rougher roads. With 19c tubeless rims riders can mount thick rubber from 28 t 38 mm. The wheelset is for disc equipped bikes with 12 mm tru axles and centre lock rotors. The wheels are compatible with both 10 and 11-speed cassettes and are priced at US$255.

The RS300 is a rim brake clincher with a low spoke count with 16 straight spokes in the front and 20 in the rear. A 17 c profile are good for wider roads tires and they tip the scales at 1,820 g. Priced at US$230 they are an affordable option for a training wheelset.

The RS100 wheelset is also the most affordable at US$135. They feature a 17 c width, weigh in at 1,920 g and are clinchers. Shimano says they are as reliable as they are affordable thanks to the trickle down of technologies from their other wheelsets.
