Granville Island and Olympic Village, police say, are the worst places in Vancouver to leave your wheels

As Canadian Cycling Magazine reported last month, it didn’t take long for the city’s “bait bike” program — in which police set out rides to tempt would-be thieves — to start yielding results.

It’s every cyclist’s worst nightmare: you’re on a long, grueling ride, you’re in another city, and when you least suspect it, you suddenly find yourself without the most important tool of your trip — your bike itself.
