Mike Woods of Optum presented by Kelly Benefit Strategies at the 2015 Tour of Alberta

Mike Woods is having a good season. He’s had a win at the Tour of Gila, a win in Portugal and a win at the Tour of Utah.  In 2016, he’ll ride on the WorldTour team Cannondale-Garmin. While a stage win eluded him at the 2015 Tour of Alberta, he did finish with the best Canadian jersey as his 10th in GC made him the highest-placed Canuck.

In this video, Woods speaks about the cold day from Grande Cache. In the finale up to Miette Hot Springs, Woods when for broke. “I rolled the dice and tired to go for that win, attacking with about 600 m to go,” he said. “I just didn’t have the legs to hold off Tom-Jelte Slagter.”
