Watch: Svein Tuft goes on an adventure through the mountains of Andorra, France and Spain

A rare glimpse into Tuft's riding on the incredible gravel roads near his home in Pal, Andorra

We only get very rare glimpses inside Svein Tuft’s life away from races. While other professionals actively update their social media feeds, Tuft is largely private. That makes this glimpse of one of his gravel rides he did through Andorra, France and Spain in August all the more exciting.

One thing is we know about Tuft for sure is that he isn’t your prototypical bike rider favouring a variety of activities to keep himself fit. He hikes, he does yoga, he meditates, he rides his bikes on varied surfaces and he bike packs. Structured interval workouts aren’t often part of his training plan.

This ride started near Tuft’s Andorra home in Pal. It consisted largely of gravel mountain roads over three days of riding. The route for The Escape was 181-km with a staggering 5,830 m of climbing.
