Vaea Verbeeck is hunting for the Queen of Crankworx crown this year. The title, which goes to the most well rounded rider at the years three Crankworx World Tour rounds, is pushing the Canadian to excel in new disciplines.

Vaea Verbeeck’s efforts at Crankworx Innsbruck are the focus of Maxxis Rubber Side Down‘s second episode of 2019. The rebooted web series follows Verbeeck through a week of racing in Austria. There, Verbeeck races everything from downhill to pump track and dual slalom. While she may come from downhill, to maximize her Queen of Crankworx points Verbeeck has to be able to do it all.

The quest started in Rotorua, New Zealand way back when Canada was still covered in snow. After Innsbruck, Verbeeck and Crankworx head back to Canada. Whistler, the original series venue, will be the final event of 2019. There, the 2018 Canadian downhill national champion will have one last chance to add to her points tally.

When the dust settles in Whistler this August, Verbeeck will either be crowned Queen, or have to wait another year. Will you be in Whistler to watch?
