XCO racing wrapped up a hectic World Cup weekend in Andorra on Sunday. While the sun had come and gone several times since racing started on Thursday, the under-23 and elite cross country athletes wadded through a full-on mudder for Sunday’s Olympic distance events.
Canadians pulled out some excellent results in the trying conditions, including a career-best elite XCO finish for Ontario’s Gunnar Holmgren and a top-1o for Vancouver Island’s Emilly Johnston.
