Carter Woods second in Lenzerheide World Cup
Strong showing from Canada's under-23 squad in Switzerland

Vancouver Island’s Carter Woods is back on a World Cup podium. The Norco Factory Team racer finished second on Sunday, just 26 seconds behind dominant Chilean rider Martin Vidaurre (Lexware). For Viadurre, it’s a fifth-straight win, continuing a perfect season that started way back in Petropolis, Brazil.
Under-23 women
Emilly Johnston (Norco Factory Team) led the Canadians in the u23 women’s race. Also from Vancouver Island, Johnston finished 14th in Lenzerheide. That race was won by Denmark’s Sofie Pedersen in a spring finish with Line Burquier (Canyon Cllctv). Puck Pieterse (Alpecin Fenix) rounded out the podium in third.
Marianne Théberge (Pivot Cycles-OTE) and Roxane Vermette were the next Canadians across the line in 24th and 25th. Jocelyn Stel followed in 37th, Nicole Bradbury 41st. Juliette Larose Gingras had to withdraw after three of four laps.
Under-23 Men
Carter Woods’ silver behind Vidaurre led the Canadian results in Lenzerheide.
Noah Ramsay and Cole Punchard were the next fastest Canadians in 33rd and 34th. Owen Clark finished 55th, Logan Sadesky 76th, and Xavier Roy 109th.
