Graham Agassiz headlines new Evil Black Collars crew

Work-life balance meets freeride in new team stacked with Canadian talent

When Graham Agassiz announced he would be joining Evil Bicycles at the start of 2019, he hinted there was more to come.

Today, Evil revealed The Black Collars, an assembly of Pro riders looking for a new path, outside of the usual contest-and-results based structure. Agassiz headlines a line-up with a strong Canadian presence. Kyle Norbraten, Paul Genovese, Mike Giese, Austin “Bubba” Warren and Kamloops, B.C.’s Soren Farenholtz fill out the roster.

Each of the six riders has serious 9-5 work commitments off the bike, but still want to send it after hours. Norbraten is in his third year apprenticing as an electrician, Bubba works at a precision metal fabrication shop for motocross, Genovese is a full time trail builder, Giese works as a product designer for Trust Performance. Farenholtz, the young B.C. rider is working on getting his drivers license before he starts working on a job, but comes on the team under the wing of fellow Kamloops rider Agassiz.

Aggy will continue to chase contests and Dark Fest appearances, but he’ll also continue working to produce video content, work on product development, dealer out reach and customer service between Fest Series stops.

As for what bike Aggy was riding when he hit those 90 foot gaps at Dark Fest in South Africa? The 150mm Evil Insurgent LB Park was all the Canadian needed. Check out his full profile of his bike below:

Aggy’s also riding the Following MB, while the rest of the crew has their pick of Evil’s full line. Genovese rides a Calling and Insurgent LB Park. Bubba and Norbs are riding an Offering and Wreckoning LB Park, while Giese is on a Wreckoning LB.
