Fans of coil shocks and riders looking to upgrade older frames are about to have more options. After years away, Marzocchi is returning to the shock market.

The storied suspension brand is looking to riders that want the performance and simplicity of a coil shock in an affordable package. Whether that’s adding new capabilities to an older frame or changing the feel of a new bike, the Bomber CR is the latest addition to the range of quality suspension offerings currently on the market.

Marzocchi starts its campaign to bring new life to old bikes with none other than Wade Simmon’s retro-look Rocky Mountain Pipedream. electric purple ride is a one-off throwback to to Rocky’s classic Pipeline model, with some modern touches. Adding the Bomber CR makes it look even more like the original.

Marzocchi Bomber CR

The Bomber CR will work with bikes in the travel range from 130mm to over 200mm. Like other Marzocchi products released since the brands rebirth, the shock aims to provide a high level of performance and durability in a package aimed at “set-and-forget” riders that still want a high performing part. Bomber CR shocks come with adjustable low-speed compression and rebound damping.

• Standard: 7.5 x 2.0”, 7.7875 x 2.0”, 7.7875 x 2.25”, 8.5 x 2.5”, 8.75 x 2.75”
• Metric: 210 x 50mm, 210 x 55mm, 230 x 60mm, 230 x 65mm, 250 x 75mm
• Trunnion: 185 x 52.5mm, 185 x 55mm, 205 x 60mm, 205 x 65mm, 225 x 75mm
