Race Face rolls out new Next R36 carbon wheelset

Wider means traction. Race Face isn’t beating around the bush with why it’s adding the Next R36 to its line of carbon wheelsets. Adding more room on the rims, which have an 36mm internal width, is all about giving riders more traction on the trail.

Race Face says the wider, 36 mm internal width (42mm external) on its Next R36 wheelset is designed to get the most out of tires in the rapidly growing 2.4 – 2.8″ range, ensuring you get the most out of the tread pattern on the beefier rubber.

Like the company’s existing Next R31 wheelset, the Next R36 is designed tough to withstand the abuse of Enduro racing, and features an offset spoke hole layout intended to deliver improved tension balance and strengthen the wheel. To be sure the wheels are race-tough, Remi Gauvin has been hammering the Next R36 wheels around the Enduro World Series and at home in B.C.

Race Face offer the Next R36 in both 27.5″ and 29″ wheel sizes. Both rims are tubeless ready clincher, feature a rim depth of 25mm, and use Race Face’s Vault hubs. The Next R36 is available in Boost and SuperBoost configurations.
