Interview with Joelle Numainville

Joelle Numainville (Webcor) recently won a silver medal at the Panamerican Road Championships in xxx, Mexico. We caught up with this young Quebecker to find out about her experience at the Panamerican Championships.

How does it fell to have won the silver medal
I am very happy to have won this medal. I share it with the whole women’s road team ( Laura Brown , Steph Rooda and Denise Ramsden)! It was the result of team work. The battle between the Canadians and the Americans was fierce.
Je suis super contente d’avoir gagner cette médail. Elle appartient et je l’a partage avec toute l’équipe de route ( Laura Brown , Steph Rooda and Denise Ramsden)! Ce fut un véritable travail de groupe. La bataille entre les canadiennnes et les américains a été férose.
What were your expectation going into this race
I won this race last year and I wanted to repeat that performance. I was also aware of the powerful American Team that was made up of the six best American Riders versus the four Canadians. We had a solid race plan going in to the race with the help of the National Coach (Vincent Jourdain). We were ready to defend the title.
J’ai gagner cette course l’an dernier donc c’est certain que je voulais répéter cet exploi. J’étais aussi consciente de la puissante équipe amércaine dont l’équipe était composé des six meilleures américaines contre 4 canadienne. Nous avons un solide plan de match mis en place à l’aide de l’entraineur national. Nous étions prêt à nous battre pour défendre le titre.

Are you happy with your race?
I am very happy with this result. The Americans won the race but on the Canadian side I think that every rider gave their 100% and we can’t ask for anything more.
Je suis super contente du résultat. Les amércains ont remporter la course mais du côté canadien je pense que chacune d’entre nous a donner son 100% et nous pouvons pas demander plus.

What is next for you?
I am presently in California where I will race in the Women’s Tour of CA Criterium which takes place on May 16th. After that, I will be on the start line for the Liberty Classic at the beginning of June.
Je suis présentement en Californie afin de me préparer à prendre part au Women’s Tour of CA Criterium qui sera présenter ce dimanche. Par la suite, je serai sur la ligne de départ du Liberty Classic au début de juin.
