This is part of Lance’s calculated attempt to settle these lawsuits now. He knows he’ll have to pay it off. Saying he’s sorry and was wrong makes it a bit easier.by Canadian Running – Mihira 10:02 PM

However, what do we do about a public that wants athletes to consistently outdo previous records? Can we accept that some records will never be broken? I can, but not very convinced that’s a generally held attitude.by Dean Campbell 10:02 PM

Damien: You can get “Livewrong” T-shirts here.by Kris Westwood 9:59 PM

@Damien People get rid of the V on the LIVESTRONG wristbandsby Mark 9:59 PM

Seriously Everyone, give your heads a shake. In our society, most people are so quick to point fingers, always searching for that one person that we can blame, without being accountable for our own actions. Why are professional sports so extremely competitive today? Is it because we promote this? We support it? We watch and we expect more, and more, and more. What is wrong with us??? Think about it. I mean, really think about it. Lance won the Tour de France 7 times, between the years 1999-2005. If he lost every single one of those races, who would have won? …the innocent non-performance-enhancing-drug-taking cyclist that was right on Lance’s heels.. errr, back wheel? Nope. The winner would have been the next performance-enhancing-drug-taking cyclist in line. In line, of a long line of cyclists being heavily influenced by the media, the public, the fans, the sponsors…. us, to take performance enhancing drugs. Think about it. Lance didn’t think this up all on his own. As far as I’m concerned, the Tour de France should be disqualified until they can get it together. And all of the other cyclists, not just Lance. The drugs didn’t turn Lance into a robot, he still won the races against all of the “dopers”.by Mindful Ness 9:59 PM

Why do we care?????????????by Dave 9:58 PM

where can I score a “LIVEWRONG” t-shirt?by Damien Matthews 9:57 PM

So he denies the 2001 positive. Oddly, I believe him on this one. The donation is a tougher question.by Kris Westwood 9:57 PM

Just a side note – I did an indoor trainer ride today watching Hell on Wheels, the movie focusing on the 2003 Tour through the eyes of T-Mobile. Funny watching Tyler Hamilton’s inhuman stage win in the mountains.by Dan Dakin 9:57 PM
