Team NOW and Novartis for MS continued its dominance of the women’s crits of the Tour de Delta yesterday, while Team Optum presented by Kelly Benefit Strategies had three of the top four riders in the men’s side, as action continued with the Brenco Criterium in Ladner.

NOW’s American Robin Farina grabbed top honours and Olivia Dillon of Ireland came runner up, but it was Elle Anderson (USA/Vanderkitten) who took over the leader’s jersey from Friday’s MK Delta Criterium winner Lex Albrecht, after Anderson finished third in both races. The top Canadian, Catherine Dessureault (Stevens Racing presented by The Cyclery, was fourth.

A crash on the first lap didn’t stop Optum’s Ken Hanson from triumphing in the men’s race. Last year’s Gastown Grand Prix and Giro di Burnaby champion, Hanson thrives in the BC Superweek. His teammate, Canadian Ryan Anderson, came runner-up for the second consecutive day after finishing behind Luis Amaran on Friday. The 2011 Brenco winner Tommy Nankervis (Australia/Bissell Pro Cycling) rounded out the podium.

Sunday sees the finale of the Tour de Delta, the White Spot Delta Road Race.
