Scott athletes bikes and accessories receive bright and colourful patterns for Rio summer Olympics
Scott has announced the #seRIOusgames collection of bikes and accessories for sponsored athletes who have qualified for the Rio Olympics. Scott athletes who will race in Rio include road cyclists from Team ORICA-BikeExchange, Orica-AIS and IAM Cycling, mountain bikers led by men’s cross country world champion Nino Schurter, Jenny Rissveds and Irina Kalentieva.
In honour of the decidication, training and commitment to their sport, Scott have created a unique and eye-catching design to decorate their athletes gear for the Games.
“When we kicked off the project, we did a lot of research regarding colors, patterns and symbols which represent aspects of Brazilian culture,” says Michael Pinto, the designer behind the Rio special edition. “It wasn’t until I spent my holidays in Brazil that I found this unique pattern in the streets of Rio which for me perfectly represents the colourful culture and spirit of the Brazilian people.”
