Full results: Tara Whitten win’s 2016 Canadian national ITT title

Whitten dethrones defending champion Karol-Ann Canuel while Numainville rounds out the podium in third

The 2012 Olympian and former Canadian individual time trial champion Tara Whitten of the Cyclery-Opus is the new elite women’s Canadian time trial champion. Whitten convincingly won the elite women’s race against the clock in Gatineau Park ahead of defending champion Karol-Ann Canuel (Boels-Doamans) and Joëlle Numainville (Cervelo-Bigla). Ariane Bonhomme also of the Cyclery-Opus doubled up after taking the U23 road title adding the U23 ITT title to her palmares. The Cyclery-Opus also won both the elite title in the road race with Annie Foreman-Mackey soloing to victory.
