153 km in Bergen, Norway

On Saturday, the elite women gather in Bergen for the world championship road race. The winner will done the rainbow jersey for the following year. Amelie Diderikson (Denmark) is the reigning champion and a host of riders will start with a shot at taking the coveted win.

The 153 km race features eight laps of a circuit which includes the Salmon Hill climb (1.5 km at 6.5 per cent). The stacked Dutch squad with Mariana Vos, Ammenick Van Vleuten, Anna van der Breggen will look to prevent Diderikson from repeating as world champ, but they’ll be wary of pocket dynamo Coryn Rivera (U.S.). Italian Giorgia Bronzini and exciting Pole Katarzyna Niewiadoma will also look to be in the mix.
