On Friday, M1 Pro Cycling announced that Peter Disera will ride with the H&R Block Pro Cycling Team for the 2015 road season. Disera comes to the new UCI continental road team from the development team Jet Fuel Coffee/Norco Bicycles. The move keeps him within the Norco family as H&R Block will be riding the Port Coquitlam, B.C.-based company’s bikes this upcoming season. Disera has also had tenure at the Norco Factory Team on the mountain bike side.

In 2014, Disera juggled both road and mountain on his respective teams. He earned bronze in the under-23 race at the Canadian mountain bike championships. On the road, in the national time trial competition, Disera once again took bronze. In 2013, he distinguished himself on the world stage at the junior world mountain bike championships in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, where he was second. Disera will continue the juggling act in 2015.

“I am very happy to be a part of the H&R Block Pro Cycling Team this season. Racing and travelling with such an elite road team will be great. I look forward to working with all the riders and staff and am very grateful for this opportunity,” Disera said.

Both M1 Project leader Mark Ernsting and  team director and Luca Segato speak highly of Disera’s ability. “The M1 Project is looking for young talented Canadian riders who can represent the country at future international- and Olympic-level events and Disera fits this profile perfectly,” Ernsting said.

“I can work with a rider who can podium at the highest level of the sport, especially at such an early age in his career,” Segato said.

Disera, along with several other members of the team, are currently training in the U.S. in preparation for their first races this spring in California.
