A day after Annie Foreman-Mackey rode solo to win the elite women’s title, the men take to the 10-km Tunney’s Pasture in Ottawa course for 18 laps. Defending champion Guillaume Boivin (Cycling Academy) will not be in attendance after he suffered a broken collarbone at the GP Saguenay earlier this month. Hugo Houle (AG2R-La Mondial) takes the start looking for his first elite road title. He is defending time trial champion and looks set to ride in Rio in August. Three former Canadian champions will be on the startline. Svein Tuft (Orica-GreenEdge) was champion in both the road race and time trial in 2014, Ryan Roth (Silber Pro Cycling) won the title in 2012 and Will Routley (Rally Cycling) in 2010. Also on the startline is Ryan Anderson (Direct-Energie) who has twice finished second at the Canadian championships (2015, 2013). Silber Pro Cycling will be one of the strongest teams in the peloton with 11 riders. Follow the action live with us beginning at 1pm EDT.
