Van den Ham took the win in the elite men’s race by 4-seconds over Red Truck-Garneau teammate and Canadian champion Raphael Gagné. The Red Truck duo worked in concert to pull away from their competitors. Hot Sauce Cycling’s Mark McConnell slotted into 4th, 22-seconds behind van den Ham.
On the women’s side American Ellen Noble of JAM Fund triumphed, with Emma White of Cyclocrossworld Devo 33-seconds in arrears. Noble won the Under-23 Pan Am Championship last weekend in Covington, Kentucky.
Saturday and Sunday’s races are rounds 3 and 4 of the Verge New England Cyclocross Series.
