The second annual Wild Bettys FunDuro, a women’s-only mountain bike race, is set to take place Tuesday, July 7 in Crothers Woods, part of the Don Valley trail system in Toronto.

Last year’s race drew women from all over the Greater Toronto Area, as well as many volunteers from the mountain biking community who came to help out with setting up, marshaling the course and more.

The popular Southern Ontario women’s mountain bike club, which runs chapters out of both the Don and the Milton area, have worked with IMBA and the Crothers Woods Stewardship team to get the trails ready.

This OCA-sanctioned race is open to women 18 years of age and older. The course is a three kilometre loop, offering the option to race two or three laps.

The first race begins at 6:30 and will be followed by lots of great mountain biking prizes, food and a party.

A rain date for the following week — Tuesday, July 14 — is in place in case weather conditions prove unfavourable.
