Sako7

RELATED: 7 ways to up your sock game

When it comes to choosing your next pair of calf high foot apparel none come louder than Sako7’s lineup that offers styles across the whole pallet of colours. The socks offer great comfort but it’s really their fashionable appeal where they stand out. Sako7 socks are 60 per cent nylon, 39 percent Coolmax and 1 per cent Lycra. This combination make them durable, breathable and the 6-inch cuff is formed fitted to keep them in place. Kilometer after kilometer Sako7’s will continue to look bold and impress your fellow riding buddies. All you need to do is find the right pair to complement your kit.

Fade to Grey

The horizontal lines are clean and the colour gradient combined with black lines looks sharp to really stand out. As with all Sako7’s socks you can find them in a number of colours to suit your style and taste.

Pro Solitude

If these socks look familiar it’s cause you have probably seen the orange pair on the feet of Silber Pro Cycling. The stylized design is inspired by Pablo Picasso who is quoted as saying, “Without great solitude, no serious work is possible.” The triangular geometric design is bold and with a number of colours you should be able to find a pair that catches your eye.

Chartreuse

The name invokes the yellow liqueur made from brandy and aromatic herbs but it is also a French dish of meat, vegetables or fruit in jelly prepared in a mold. The varied yellow or jaune colouring is bright and is sure to stand out. We aren’t sure if you’ll have the kit to match but that won’t matter. On them is written, “the socks maketh the kit” so Sako7 isn’t too worried about you being able to find the right apparel to go with this pair.

Off Kilter

If horizontal lines are too conservative for your tastes try on a pair of these. Slanted lines adorn each pair of these fun socks with the teal and purple pair we tried really catching the eye.

Mondarian

One of our favourite pairs were the Mondrian White 2.0. The red, yellow and blue design pays tribute to the La Vie Claire Professional Cycling Team that operated from 1984 to 1991 and included such cycling legends as Greg Lemond, Bernard Hinault, Andrew Hampsten and Canadian Steve Bauer. Their kits were designed based off the artwork of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian.

Roses

You probably didn’t think you needed a pair of socks adorned with roses but that didn’t stop Sako7 from coming out with a pair adorned with the flower of love whcih is also the provincial flower of Alberta. Whether you fancy pink, red or yellow roses there is a pair for you. If you don’t think roses go well with any of your current apparel Sako7 offer matching kits so the roses on your feet are well complimented by an equally beautiful bouquet.

Sako7 use striking colours, bold designs and perfect cuff height to put together an eye-catching combination. Check out the full Sako7 lineup of apparel at sako7.com. Socks retail for US$21.
