How to watch the 2018 Vuelta a España in Canada

FloBikes, a live and on-demand streaming service, is carrying the Spanish Grand Tour in 2018

The 2018 Vuelta a España begins Aug. 25 in Málaga  and runs until Setp. 16 when it concludes in Madrid. With nail bitting, uphill finishes and riders with nothing to lose, the race always delivers spectacular action. Antoine Duchesne (Groupama-FDJ) and Michael Woods (EF Education First-Drapac) are the two Canadians starting in Spain. With brutal climbs across the three week Spanish Grand Tour, it would be shame not to catch all of the action during the three weeks. But in order to watch the Vuelta a España in Canada legally you can’t just switch on your television and expect to find it live.

While illegal streams may not cost anything they come with unwanted features like sketchy feeds, pop-ups (some NSFW), the threat of viruses to your device and the near guarantee that the feed will freeze up as a signature Vuelta uphill sprint winds up with 800 m to go. So, if you want better viewing quality for enjoying the Spanish Grand Tour in Canada, you’ll have to spend some money eventually. If you don’t want to turn to one of many dodgy sites, then FloBikes will provide coverage of the race.

FloSports is a distributor of live digital sporting events and owns the distribution rights for the Giro. In total, FloBikes will show a total of 188 days of bicycle racing this year as they own the rights to cycling events ranging from one-day classics to cyclocross events later in the fall. FloBikes is an online television service. You can sign up with a seven-day trial period, and stream the 2018 Vuelta.

To get started with FloBikes, you will need to purchase a subscription package. You can either pay monthly which will cost $30 a month.
