How to watch Omloop Het Nieuwsblad

Classics opening weekend with Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne

Hallelujah, it must be approaching spring. This Saturday’s WorldTour Omloop Het Nieuwsblad race is the first half of the Classics opening weekend, with 1.HC-rated Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne running the next day. With Omloop Het Nieuwsblad a compacted Tour of Flanders, including the dreaded Muur, and a crack field of Classics riders including current champion Michael Valgren (Denmark/Dimension Data) in contention, it’s a race fans will want to watch.

Nice sections of cobbles and 13 hills await.

One way is to view via FloBikes, which will show both races of the Classics opening weekend, but not the women’s version of Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, where Trek-Segafredo hopes to continue its hot start to 2019.

Update: Poximus Sports announced late Friday that it will live-stream both women’s team presentation and women’s race, without georestrictions, on its Facebook page.

Both FloBikes and FuboTV can be streamed live on your mobile device, laptop and through Apple TV or Roku onto your big screen.

Viewers in Britain can see the races on Eurosport, with Sporza and RTBF broadcasting in Belgium and NOS carrying them in the Netherlands.

Canadians Hugo Houle and Antoine Duchesne will line up in Ghent in the men’s Omloop Het Nieuwsblad but there are no Canadians slated for the women’s race.
