Musette Caffè is an institution that has brought appreciators of coffee and cycling together in Vancouver for almost five years. Thomas Eleizegui opened the unassuming original location in back-alley space behind Burrard street in downtown Vancouver in 2012. Taking an uncompromised approach to coffee quality, combined with his own background of racing and drawing from the rich culture of cycling, Musette Caffè became a destination for coffee geeks and cyclists of all skill levels.

Five years down the road, Musette now moves into a new location located at 1325 Burrard St where the successes of the original are built upon. The new location is an absolute work of art located amongst one of the city’s prime cycling hubs. The bike-friendly coffee bar has partnered with local roaster Pallet Coffee, along with Calgary’s Phil and Sebastian for its coffee with head barista Dohon Chow manning the custom painted La Marzocco FB70.
Beyond the physical location, Musette Caffè has also partnered with Pinarello, Giordana and The Loden hotel to create Musette Tours. Giving visitors to the West coast city who enjoy a beautiful bike ride the opportunity to explore some of Vancouver’s essential routes with some of the city’s most skilled and friendly cyclists leading the way. Musette continues to develop with new extensions of beyond the job expected soon.
A bittersweet, but fortuitous redevelopment of the original property forced Musette to close its doors a little over 1 year ago. The new space, just a stone’s throw away from the original property and is set to open on January 2 of 2017. A splendid way to usher in the New Year for Vancouverites who have been craving for the perfect space to pursue their passions for coffee and cycling.
