Junior men

It was Manitoba versus Ontario in the junior men’s race. Defending champ Willem Boersma (Cycle-Smart/Portage-la-Prairie, Man.), Ontario Cup leader Quinton Disera (CSAJCC/Barrie, Ont.), Oliver Evans (Team Manitoba/Winnipeg) and Liam Mulcahy (CCAJCC/Brookin, Ont.) were all very active at the front of the race. They put in laps times that almost matched the under-23s, who were racing at the same time. Evans took first. Disera was second. Boersma had to fight to the line to take third over Mulcahy.
