Canadian U23 and Junior cyclocross title-holders seek funding for world championships

Canadian cyclocross champions Danick Vandale (U23) and Oliver Evans (Junior) are looking for funding to contest the UCI World Championships February 2015 in Tabor, the Czech Republic. The Manitobans won their Canadian titles October 25 in Winnipeg.

The two ‘crossers were recently named to the Accent Inns-Russ Hay’s Cycling Team and will move west to BC to ride the road.

People who want to help send the duo to the Czech Republic can donate funds here. The two are looking to raise $10,000 and as of the morning of December 8 had $1324. They held a fundraising race over the weekend and look to augment their GoFundMe endeavour with other events before February.

The current men’s U23 and Junior world champions are both Belgians, Wout van Aert and Thijs Aerts respectively.
