IMBA Canada announces successful campaign at Canmore 24
Just over a week after the finish of the Canmore 24 hour mountain bike race, the International Mountain Bike Association of Canada announced that fundraising efforts over the race weekend netted $4000 in new funding for the advocacy organization.
“The benefits of being at this year’s event extend far beyond the dollars raised,” said Lora Woolner, IMBA Canada director. “The chance to talk to Alberta mountain bikers and IMBA Canada members face-to-face, especially in this time of restructuring is incredibly valuable. I’m thankful that Stuart insisted we be here.”
IMBA Canada is back on the campaign trail after a void in leadership led to a restructuring this year.
The funds were raised through both a new partnership with 1% for the Planet, and generous product donations that were either raffled off or sold to benefit IMBA Canada. Local shop Racks Unlimited donated a full four bike rack system to be raffled, while vintage 24 Hours of Adrenaline glasses were sold.

The restructuring of IMBA Canada is focused on establishing sound financial standing and meeting sponsor commitments for the 2014 season.
