Don’t Ride Gravel Like a Roadie

Important skills that strong riders need to get through the bumpy stuff
At events this year, I often see riders trying to navigate the technical sections. They obviously have the fitness to ride long races, but they lack the skills needed to be smooth whenever the route goes into the woods. I suspect many of these riders are roadies who figured gravel was little more than taking drop-bar bikes with fatter tires on roads that happen to be “paved” with gravel. It isn’t.
