A win at nationals sets up success at worlds
The national XCO championships in Kentville, N.S., got off to a wet and muddy start after a day of torrential rain hit the province, washing out the main road from Halifax. Several athletes missed the July race due to the conditions.

Marin Lowe from Squamish was not among those affected by the flooding. She rode to defend her position as junior women’s XCO champion, as well as claim her second maple-leaf jersey of the weekend having taken the XCC title two days earlier.
