Olivia Baril had a strong spring campaign. Not only did she win the Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar for the second year in a row, she finished in the top five of two stage races (Volta Comunitat Valenciana Fèmines and Itzulia Women) and in the top 20 of three others. She was in the mix with riders such as Demi Vollering, Annemiek van Vleuten and Katarzyna Niewiadoma. Baril’s results had me wondering: could she win a Grand Tour? Her answer was clear and confident.
