The back roads not far from the Welsh border will challenge your legs with steep climbs and offer you stunning views
I think the rolling and crumpled hills of South Shropshire offer the finest riding in England. Sure there’s the drama of the Lake District and the expanse of the Yorkshire Dales. They have their own special place in the hearts of cyclists and strong cases for the title of England’s best riding. Neither of them, however, can quite match Shropshire when it comes to a rounded and fail-safe package for cyclists.
