Norco Rampage (1992) | Norco at 50: 5 classic bikes

The Rampage is Norco’s first mountain bike designed with front suspension in mind. The man behind the design was Pete Stace-Smith, the company’s product manager at that time. The frame is made of Tange Prestige chromoly tubes, which roll on 26″ wheels. Up at the front, a quill stem works with a 1″ steering tube to point the bike in the right direction. The travel on that fork? A whopping 63 mm, which was much higher than the 0 mm of travel that was more common at the time.
