Italian bicycle component manufacturer Campagnolo released the details of its latest Super Record RS groupset on Monday.
The company worked with professional cycling teams and sponsored riders, and reviewed valuable feedback in order to create the Super Record RS group set. Multiple prototypes were tested in both the labs and in WorldTour competition in order to improve performance and reliability.
Campagnolo modified the angle and shape through the drivetrain, with changes to the chainrings and front derailleur, which was also designed to be more rigid. The chainrings and front derailleur are etched with “SC14,” for “squadre corsa 2014,” which was the project’s code name when it was in development. The new group was given new graphics to help distinguish it from the previous versions.
The Super Record RS group will be available to consumers in the following chainring sets: 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34.
