Parmi zipperless gravel jersey: comfortable and light for the hottest of days

Functional and fashionable, great for long hot days in the saddle

If you’re looking for a fashionable but functional jersey for riding the trails, you may like the Parmi zipperless. It’s a sharp, well-fitting top for long days in the saddle, while being breathable and light.

I tested the jersey on some pretty long gravel rides, and quite liked it. Of course, the first thing you’ll notice is there’s no zipper. But it still fits like a proper cycling jersey: the structure is solid and it has everything else you come to expect in a jersey. Three good-sized pockets on the back, a soft feel and high-quality grippers.

The jersey uses Italian mesh fabric, and it feels like a very comfortable t-shirt when you put it on. The difference between a t-shirt and a jersey though, is the breathability. I wore it on some hot days and it felt light, wicking sweat well.

The silicon grippers on the rear makes sure that the jersey fits you well, so there’s no bunching up.

I should note I also tried it on the indoor trainer a few times. Although it’s meant for gravel, I found this was a nice jersey to wear while Zwifting. It goes on fast and easy, and as mentioned, the breathability means you’re not going to have that puddle of sweat under your bike.

It’s available in six sizes, from from XXS to XL. The fit is athletic–it’s not quite the super-tight racing style, but it will fit snug on your chest. If you want something a bit more relaxed, I’d say go one size up. It comes in four colours: marshmallow, woodwind, copper trail and freedom.

The 85 polyester 15 per cent elastane mix held up well after several wash cycles, which was nice to see. A stylish addition to my jersey rotation, it’s a great choice for those long, hot days on the rough stuff.
