2014 Island Cup Series: Mical Dyck wins Hammerfest XC, second race in series

On Sunday, Stan’s Notubes’s Mical Dyck won the elite women’s field of Hammerfest XC, the second instalment of the 2014 Island Cup Series. The win also marked Dyck’s second first place finish in the Vancouver Island races. She was followed by Haley Smith (Norco Factory Team) and Danelle Kabush (Luna Pro Team).

On the men’s side, Thomas Skinner of Oak Bay Bikes was on the top spot on the podium. Justin Mark (Steed Cycles) was second, while Terry Mckall (Stuckylife/Broad Street Cycles) came in third.

The next race in the Island Cup Series is the Cobble Hill Classic XC Race on March 30.
