Coming in second was Squamish’s Marin Lowe. “It was crazy, it was very fun, it still doesn’t feel real. I really like the course and the climbing, and because Ava wasn’t able to race, I just raced extra hard for her,” she said after the race.
WHAT. A. YEAR for Isabella Holmgren ??

Isabella’s sister Ava was unable to race Wednesday due to breaking her clavicle in a crash during training. She finished second at the world CX championships and was also a strong favourite for a medal. Their older brother, Gunnar raced the team relay on Tuesday. The Canadian squad took fourth, missing out on a medal by just a second.
